A New Beginning
This is a new year and with that comes challenges. With that in mind, here are my five tips to make sure that your 2018 is a successful one.
Tip #1: Do not focus on being politically correct and tell things the way they are. We live in a society where we are focused on always saying the right thing in the interest of self-preservation. While we must always remember to be tactful, this is not always the right thing to do since nothing will change if we do not have those who are willing to state the obvious.
Tip #2: If you are passionate about accomplishing something bigger than yourself, go for it. Sometimes in life you must take risks in order to accomplish your goals.
Tip#3: Do not believe all that you hear online or in person. Gossip, as we all should now by know is counterproductive and results in lifelong pain, damaged reputations, and heartache.
Tip#4: Focus on being a better person regardless of what is happening in the world.
Tip#5: Learn to disconnect yourself from individuals or groups of people who do not bring any joy in your life. This is often times easier said than done because this could include family members, significant others, or even good friends. Unfortunately, it must be done because the ones that cause us the most harm are those that are closest to us.
